Start with a pure sequence
A pure sequence is a run of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, without a substitute joker. It is essential to a valid Indian Rummy declaration.
Build your remaining groups
You need at least two sequences in total, including the pure sequence. Arrange all remaining cards into valid sequences or sets. A set contains cards of the same rank in different suits.
Check all 13 cards
Before declaring, account for every card and check the selected joker and table rules. An attractive-looking group is not enough: the full hand must be valid.
